We spent 4 very comfortable nights at this chic little hotel and enjoyed every minute of it.
We arrived after dark on a rainy night by water taxi from the airport, and were warmly welcomed.
Our room was not large but it was lovely. High ceilings, Venetian style decor, nice big bathroom with all the amenities, and a balcony overlooking the canal.
The hotel was very quiet, so getting a good night's rest was never a problem. We woke every morning to the smell of freshly baked croissants. Breakfast was plentiful and varied..something for every taste...fruit,juices,cereals,cold meats, bread, muffins (still warm!) and of course those delicious croissants. The breakfast staff were very friendly and cheerful so every morning got off to a great start.
The location is perfect. Close enough to make walking everywhere a cinch, but off the beaten track enough to be quiet and neighbourly. There are good restaurants very close to the hotel for anyone not wishing to venture far afield after dark.

Part of the fun of exploring Venice is to get lost in the maze of streets but nothing is very far away, so the is no danger of wandering far afield.
We had room 5, the only one with a balcony which we made full use of late in the afternoon while enjoying a glass of wine and planning our evening.
Walter and Sandro are excellent hosts and we would recommend this comfortable hotel without reservation. If we return to Venice we would definitely stay here again.
Room Tip: We liked room 5 because of the balcony and the lovely views of the canal in both directions.
